Each was written on my own initiative to demonstrate what I can do across editorial and commercial work. Nothing here was commissioned by or published in an outlet, and nothing here claims to be. Sources are listed at the foot of every piece so you can check the work rather than take it on trust.
Writing an editor would publish
Food systems
African governments have spent twenty years chasing a fertiliser target measured in kilograms per hectare. The recommendations farmers actually receive leave out the part that decides whether the nitrogen reaches the crop.
Sustainability
Intercropping maize with legumes usually produces more food per hectare than either crop grown alone. A synthesis of sixty-nine sub-Saharan African studies shows how much more, and how unevenly the advantage is spread.
Public health
More than half the world consumes too little of several essential micronutrients. Treating that as a failure of individual choice misreads where the shortfall is created.
Writing that solves a company's problem
Health technology
An evidence brief for product, clinical and marketing teams building consumer metabolic health tools. What the trials show, what they do not yet show, and which claims survive review.
White paper
An independent evidence synthesis on what AI, wearables and continuous health data can support in preventive health today, and where the research still falls short of the commercial promise. Seventeen primary sources, including the null and contradictory findings.
Case study
An eighteen-month on-farm trial in Kenya, the result that only showed up at the bottom of the input range, and what happened when it reached seventeen hundred growers. Written in the format a company commissions for a customer story.
A note on portfolio honesty
Speculative samples are how a writer moving into a new market demonstrates ability before the first commission lands. They are useful only if they are labelled. These six are labelled on every page, in the metadata and in the page itself. The case study describes my own project rather than a client's, and the white paper is independent research, neither commissioned nor sponsored. Both say so at the top. As commissioned work is published, it will be added here with the outlet and date attached, and these samples will move down the page rather than quietly become something they were not.
